The New Quo.

The New Quo is a leadership development and equity consultancy, helping leaders leverage the psychological power of story to transform behavior, build inclusive culture, and achieve status quo breaking goals that expresses their values of diversity, equity, and inclusion in action. I do this through training, online courses, facilitated conversations, and consulting.

We face a number of communication challenges - culture changes, bias, innovation pressures, and you desire to change the status quo for the better through your ideas — whether in your personal or professional life. Science shows stories influence everything we do - from what we think to what we buy, and the stories you believe and tell are incredibly powerful tools for taking your status-quo breaking ideas from thought to reality. 

My mission is to teach leaders how to tap into the power of their narrative intelligence to bridge divides, build community, gain buy-in for bold equitable ideas, and master the negative self-talk in the way of change and innovation. My services are built upon a framework I’ve developed called the Status-Quo Shifting Method that uses behavioral science based change strategies to help you use narrative to transform yourself, your teams, and your culture for the better. Facilitated Conversations

The New Quo Story Circles are inspiring story sharing conversations that helps participants better understand each other’s backgrounds through the lens of their personal and professional experiences and goals. These conversations build bonds and psychological safety, and provide visibility and networking opportunities for participants across diverse backgrounds.

Training

Engaging and interactive workshops and learning experiences that won’t bore you to death that provide research based education, inspiration, and actionable tactics for addressing bias, improving culture, and building inclusive communication and leadership habits that last.

Online courses

It takes 21 days to begin a habit, and 90 days to cement that habit. The New Quo Leaders Continued Education provides on-the-go courses that give accountability and strategies past the one and done approach of workshops to translate training concepts into daily practices for better decision making, leadership, and communication habits that stick. Think of this like a mental flossing to keep the mind fresh and ready for action.
